Curtin University

Designed by John Wardle Architects, the new headquarters of Curtin’s School of Design and the Built Environment (DBE), located in Bentley (Perth/Australia), encourages learning and reflects the University’s creative and innovative vision.

Mayoral logistics centre

SYSTEM Arquitectos have refurbished the 1963 Intelhorce industrial textile warehouse. The intervention focuses on the structural rehabilitation and the restitution of the envelope, especially highlighting its zinc roof that restores the identity of the building as well as providing significant energy savings.

The zinc house by the lake

Modern design in zinc-titanium and a dream-like location by a lake are some features of this house that belongs to the Fürtbauer Family (Austria), a generation spanningline of installers.

Barchester Street

Designed by the architects at Metropolitan Workshop, the three new buildings on the former industrial site of Limehouse Cut (East London) include 115 new social housing units.
Evoking the sawtooth profile of the former factory, the top floors and brown zinc roof of the buildings form the backbone of the project.

ARZAK Restaurant - A façade of zinc scales

The famous restaurant Arzak that was looking for a façade that best reflected its identity has chosen zinc-titanium elZinc® rhomboidal scales for its refurbishment. We spoke with Manuel Lamosa from Lyma Arquitecture, one of the architects of this stunning project which, like the restaurant’s kitchen, has been able to mix the avant-garde with good traditional practices.

Red zinc clad demonstration house

Stroll down a quiet lane in the Bedfordshire village of Blunham and you might take a second look at a house that catches your eye. The house was built by Fairfield Homes and features a precisely executed red zinc roof and cladding which takes your breath away.

National Commemorative Monument for Peace and Justice

National Commemorative Monument for Peace and Justice – This striking monument, designed in partnership with MASS Design Group, keeps alive the memory of the terrible events that were witnessed in the United States during the era of slavery and social segregation and the subsequent racial violence that was experienced throughout the 20th century. These historical occurrences led to the public lynching of over 4400 human beings: a series of executions that was supposedly justified by the law.

Adelaide Convention Center

Located in the Riverbank district, a landmark of the historic city, the Adelaide Convention Center celebrates its 30th anniversary by revealing its new face thanks to the completion of its entire renovation.

The outer skin of the East Building, designed by the architectural office Woods Bagot, was clad with red coloured zinc-titanium: elZinc Rainbow® Red. The building’s exterior appearance and its defining colour respond to the design intent of the architects, evoking the rocky boulders from Kangaroo Island, known as The Remarkables.
